My sister lives at these apartments. We (I am her attorney-in-fact/power of attorney) gave notice to move on August 14th, 2012. They are trying to fill my sister's apartment, and we have cooperated extensively with them. However, I received a call today from Brenda Moens in the office, asking if my sister paid her rent. I told her I knew that she did but was not sure what means she used. I told her she could call my sister at work and ask her. Brenda never did! She never called me back either. When my sister got home this evening, there was a notice of termination that she needs to be out of the apartment in five days due to not paying her rent. My sister said she put her check for rent into the apartment rent box on Tuesday, September 4th. The rent is due by the 1st but no later than the 5th. I can't believe they do business this way!!! My sister has a chronic mental illness and I have a letter from her doctor stating the reason for her move. Without checking for the rent in the rent box and deliberately not letting me know what's going on has really upset me more than words could ever say. I have left Brenda Moens a phone message in regard to this treatment!!!
