Received postcard from Worldwide Travel stating we would receive a complimentary 8 day/7night cruise for two after listening to their 90 minute presentation in Valencia, CA. They have since moved to Long Beach with their scam. We went to the info meeting and decided that we did better on our own booking vacations and didn't buy their travel program. The agent got indignant with us because we didn't buy the package. I showed them that the travel prices they offered were no cheaper than the ones on the internet. We received our certificate to Ultimate Executive Travel, followed all the rules, submitted the required $248 deposit. After calling and calling and calling, I finally speak to a very rude and snippy agent at Ultimate Executive Travel who tells me that we would have to pay $1,410 for the cruise we selected. When I asked what happened to the complimentary cruise, she told me that we were travelling during peak season (May 2012). I asked her when was peak season and she pointed me to #6 of their terms and conditions which said nothing about the month of May being peak season. She explained to me that Oct/Nov/Dec is the off season and that I should have called and asked when peak season was and if I wanted to use the certificate I would have to pay $1,410 and that was after the deduction of $248. So Ultimate Executive Travel strikes again. The total cost of the cruise is $1658 not complimentary. Why would I need them when I can book the cruise myself online for a much lower price. These people are a bunch of crooks!!! Down right thieves. A class action law suit needs to be filed against these scammers and they need to be shut down. They refuse to refund my money.
