Extremely deceptive marketing! I ordered what supposedly was a free skin care product and all I had to do was pay for shipping and handling. Instead, I got a product for which I was billed $97.88. This was around the middle of January, 2012. Because I left shortly for abroad (February 4), I did not realize that they had charged my Visa for the product. They subsequently sent me two more packages for $97.88 each, charging my credit card. Since I was abroad, I did not notice the charges on my Visa until March. The charges on the credit card were identified as companies named Revive in February, Refresh in March, and Skin Kit in April. I contacted my bank from abroad disputing the charges since they were unknown to me. Because I was out of the country, I did not know they had shipped two additional kits which were kept on hold at the Post Office pending my return.

I returned on April 9 and immediately contacted the company seeking to resolve the issue for which they refused reversal of charges except for the last package for which I had to pay postal charges. Today, April 11th, I returned both packages and had to pay the post office over $11.

This is evidently a scam issue. Not only is it false advertising, it can be considered unauthorized credit card charges. They make sure that customers overlook the fine print which they claim was in their advertisement. If they were a company of any integrity, they would make sure that customers fully understand the consequence of ordering a supposedly "free product."

Update: 04/11/2012

I am writing a formal complaint disputing the charges to my credit card company in an attempt to have the charges reversed. I am also writing the company, Aura Vie, so I have a written record of my formal complaint.
