I signed up for Avangate Media Crawler on 4/2/12 in hopes of downloading a school textbook. I purchased the trial for $1.99 and attempted to download the software. It was not compatible with my Apple Mac OSX, so I was not able to access any data. On the 9th I received a $69.95 charge on my credit card, realized that the 7 day trial period was over, and attempted to contact the company the same day. Their 1-888-247-1614 customer service number does not work, so I sent in a form under via "Contact Us."
I called my bank to see if they could find another number for Avangate, but the 888 area code number was all they could provide me. I sent in ANOTHER contact form asking for a refund - Their refund policy says if you miss the 7 day trial period, then they will refund you as long as you contact them within 23 days. After 27 days, you are stuck with the full payment.

Well, I am trying to contact them, but am not getting a response.

I suppose I will have to file my complaint through my bank and they can enact the investigation if I do not hear back from Avangate/Media Crawler before the end of the month.
