I clicked on an online survey for a "Free Prize Draw" to win an iPad.. answered three very basic questions, was asked to enter my mobile number, received a 4-digit pin code by text and entered it as requested on another login page... and then got four text messages in quick succession, each telling me I had purchased 1 entry into the prizeKing Click2Win competition and have I been charged £4.50 each time... 4 texts... that's a total of £18 or around $30. I telephoned a helpline on an 08000 number but was told there was nothing I could do as I had agreed to a subscription. I went through the process again and there is some very small rambling print on the login page about agreeing to a subscription, but it also says you can cancel at any time by texting STOP to a 5-digit number. I tried this twice, but on each occasion my message failed to send. I can't believe I was taken in by this. It's a blatant scam.
