I received a letter and a check in the mail. The person wants you to believe that it is a shopping survey company for marketing. It is not. There is no such company at that address, I checked. The envelope it comes in is from Canada. This is from Toronto, Ontario, Canada to be exact. I looked up the mailing code. I did not fall for the scam, but some people may who are desperate for money right now. The check is not a real check, I checked with the bank and the routing number is incorrect. You will be responsible for this money going back to your bank if you deposit it. I have filed a complaint with the Post Office General online, this is a federal crime to use the US Mail to do fraud. If anyone else receives this letter and check please file a complaint online with the Post Office General so that action can be taken to find these people. I don't know if anything can be done since they are in Canada, but we can try.
