I received an e-mail from what appeared to be a friend’s e-mail address. It was a pitch for a work at home opportunity which basically promised that for each ad that one posts, there is a payoff of $15. And that it would take at the most 4 minutes to post one ad. It was justified with very convincing talking points and it came from my friend Phil, so I thought, "this is the last time I will try one of these things." I have a personal policy of never buying anything that you have to pay up front a sum of money. Because it was from a friend who I know makes money in sales, I trusted it. The upshot is that it wasn't from my friend and as soon as I paid up, instead of taking you to your "business coach and contact information of your support system as promised" it took you to more upgraded options for additional fees with even bigger promises of what you'll get. It is masterfully done. I give these scammers credit for being good at their job---but alas, notwithstanding, there is a special place in hell for people like this. I called my bank and they are aware that the charge will be denied when it is presented. Don't sign up for anything like this... it is all just a scam and a waste of your time and character. I am embarrassed as I haven't been "taken" like this in a while.
