This number is for wireless internet access [ISP] service. I was originally sold an account with unlimited access, and the account continued to be listed as such on my bill. I have encountered unacceptable slow access speeds, often as low as 10% [TEN PERCENT] oF normal access speeds. When I called Verizion for an explanation, I was told that unlimited access accounts would be specifically targeted for slow service when the network was overloaded, and THIS APPLIED REGARDLESS OF THE AMOUNT OF DATA USED. Specifically I was told that once I used 40% of the data allotted FOR A LIMITED ACCOUNT, I would be subject to [EXTREME] slow speeds of access. My experience of slow speeds, of 0.10 mbps compared to normal 1.10 mbps, confirms this, starting when I reached 2 gigabytes usage a month, when standard accounts allow 5 gigabytes a month. I was directed to a Verizon website which confirmed IN PRINT that their "Network Optimization" [throttling] was directed at account holders of unlimited plans, [REGARDLESS OF HOW MUCH DATA WAS USED. It SEEMS to me that the only logical explanation for this punitative treatment of unlimited account holders is that they are trying to harrass us out of those plans. I am guessing they are doing this because they cannot legally close the unlimited accounts... I can understand that truly unlimited usage is impractical, though Verizion should have carefully considered this BEFORE they marketed unlimited accounts. But I believe I have never used over twice the base amount, 5 gigabytes, and usually if over, I am only about 50% over the base amount. This seems hardly an excessive usage for an account marketed as "UNLIMITED". I am requesting a reasonable service in terms of speed off access regardless of the fact that my account started out as an unlimited account.
