Complaint 1265 Details

I replied to a job posting for Office Manager on Craigslist. "Mr. James" emailed me back and said he'd have an assignment for me. He sent me a check to deposit and wire money to another individual. I would get paid $550 and wire $1900 to that individual. I waiting until my bank said it was ok to withdrawl money out (I assumed that meant the check was actually good) before wiring the money, which happened on Monday morning the 20th. However, this morning, 6/22, I got a call from the bank saying that check was no good and they are putting a block on my account. Meanwhile, he has sent me another check that I received this morning. I have not opened the Fed Ex envelope it came in yet and don't intend to. I've been out of work for almost 4 yrs now, and was desperate to make money... but now I'm worse off and feeling used and stupid.
