Hello my name is Chevonne Norfleet and my husband (Christopher Norfleet) we both believe we have become victims of the utility scam. A customer of mine gave me a routing number and told me to use the red numbers on the back of our SS Cards to pay our cable and cell phone bills I called both companies and they said they had never heard of such a situation and they could not take the payments off. We did not receive any phone call or anything. She already had the routing number so all we had to do is just go pay the bill directly. Please let us know what actions need to be taken to keep us safe. My husband did go to the social security website and blocked both of our social security numbers. There were two seperate payments one for 425.80 for a cell phone bill and the other for 399.37 for a cable bill. I am not sure who they are but I did not find out that it was a scam until the next day 7/14/2012. Please help us if you can we greatly appreciate it.
