I was propositioned via phone call to my home (@1:56 pm on 8/7/11) of an interest to buy my timeshare by a person identifying himself as Matt Brown(prospective buyer). He said I would be getting a call from Ron London (loan company providing the loan to him) from a Charleston, SC based company called Luxury Plus.

I received a voicemail call from Mr. London @ 7:13 pm 8/11/11 indicating his client (Mr. Brown) was "VERY" interested in purchasing my timeshare & he needed to find out some particulars on the property. I called him back & verified my asking price of $5,000. He said he would call the prospective buyer to share my information.

The buyer called me back & told me he could pay the down payment of $500, but didn’t plan on paying closing costs of $880. He told me he would incorporate an additional $500 for a total loan amount of $5,500 to reimburse me + $60 for my agreeing on the offer.

Mr London faxed me a 7 pg. Contract For Sale Of Timeshare with signatures from Mr & Mrs Brown + instructions on how to purchase a Money Pak for $440 + & 4.64 (service fee) for my (reimbursable) 1/2 of the closing costs. It all seemed legitimate, but obviously I was SCAMMED out of $440 + $4.64 to purchase a "Money Pak. On 8/14, I spoke to Ron London (who seemed very polished & professional) to (stupidly on my part) give him the activation code.

After numerous calls this week to both Mr. Brown AND Mr. London, (they were obviously in this together) I never received a reply from either party. I filed a fraud alert with the Money Pak company today (8/19/11) & it appears the transfer of my funds to the recipient was not in SC, but in CA! They have now put a freeze on the account debit card that received the $$ but they could not give me back the $$. I don't know if the SC address is viable, because there is a (sudo) website on Luxury Plus........ http://www.luxuryplus.info/#! Matt Browns listed address is Cumberland, MD.

Other than the address & phone #’s + a snippet of information on what this company does listed on the website, there
is not any other information on the company to speak of. They do not have a listing with the BBB, nor in the yellow pages.
BEWARE OF ANY CALLS FROM THIS COMPANY (or a Matt Brown). THEY'RE A DEFINATE SCAM!!
