I received a call in March 2012 from this company stating that I owed them money for their yellow pages service. I told them that I do not authorize any type of services over the phone. And that I only use services that are free because I am a small business and can not afford paying for advertising. The girl told me that it must have been one of my employees. And I told her that I am my only employee.I asked her to give me verification at which point she said she didn't have any. I asked to speak to the manager. I explained the situation to him and he said that I needed to give verification of my information and that I would be cleared of any responsibility and charges from them. The girl then got back on the line and went through all my info again. When she got to the point of asking me how I wanted to pay I told her that I wasn't paying for any of it and that they just needed to verify my info in order to get the charges off of my account. At this time we went round and round of what was being done. Then the manager came back on the line and we went round and round and he said to just say I wanted a bill sent to me and when I got the bill I would also receive a statement that says that the services would be cancelled and all charges dropped. I asked him if everything would be cleared and he said yes. I never got any paper work in the mail until the end of June at which time I got a bill with two months of interest charged to it. Then today I received a call from the manager saying I owed this money and when I asked him for verification he played back the recorded conversation with the girl and I, and of course it was edited to seem like I agreed to their services. They left out the conversation I had about not wanting the service and not agreeing to any payments. Also my conversation with the manager was also edited out. When the manager got back on the phone I told him this. He said that no such editing was done and he said that this was proof that I agreed and that it was being sent to collections. I told him to go ahead and sue me. And that is where our conversation ended. This company is a complete scam. Always get the name of the person you talked to and get everything in written form.
