Received check in the ammount of 1927.35 in the mail on 8-3-12 from TCMC Dataworks Team INC. Opened it on Saturday and I was excited because I had signed up for mystery shopping jobs. The letter included names like Best Buy, Ikea, Western Union, and Wal*Mart. Also for assignment #2 it said I could shop at Wal*Mart, Sears, Costco, Best Buy or Home Depot. I wasn't able to get to my bank to deposit this check on Saturday so I spent all day Sunday looking forward to how I was going to get to spend my $350. bonus and what I was going to get to buy with the remaining money but in the back of my mind I heard "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is". So this morning before heading off to the bank to deposit my payroll I called the bank that the check was written on First National Community Bank in Dunmore PA and spoke to a very nice representative there. She politely informed me that the company and the check were fraudulent. :o( So sad. On the up side I am not looking at having to come up with that money on top of what my current bills are :o) Dataworksteam.com is listed on the letterhead in Scranton PA The phone numbers to reach are 620-644-4460 which is in Kansas and 913-730-7639 which is a fax number also somewhere in Kansas. I didn't try to reach anyone at either number. I looked everywhere on the web that I could think of to try to find something fraudulent about this company and when I couldn't find anything it sure did raise my hopes. Hopefully this post can help someone else from making a serious mistake. The thing that finally hit and got me to scambook.com was that the post mark on the envelope was from Correos CTA Madrid. And it looked sooooo real :o( Anyway hope this helps someone. Good luck! Back to the drawing board for me.
