I saw an ad for building your own solar panels and wind turbine, and because we live in an area where 90% of our days are sunny (although no much wind, but it claimed it doesn't matter), I felt it made since (not the wind part, just the sun). I teach science and thought it would make a good experiment for my kids to try to produce electricity. The video claims that you do not need a professional electrician to do any of the work.
