I too was checking my account on July 5, 2012(which I just changed over for a recent ID theft issue)and saw taht a check was posted to my account in the amount of $30.00. When I opened it up to look at it, it said Palm Loan Advances. I have never applied for any loan with them nor had I ever heard of them before now.
There is a customer service number on the check so I called to complain and spoke with very nice people who agreed to refund the $30.00 after I explained to them that it was withdrawn without authorization and I considered that fraud. I was given a cancellation number and was told that within 15 business days, the money would be refunded.
Today is August 13, 2012 and after 4 phone calls, I have been told that the Billing Department has been experiencing a back up and there would be a slight delay in refunding my money. I called again just now and was told that the Billing Department is waiting for verification that my check cleared and to call back on Friday.
Who else are reporting these guys to and how are we getting our money back. So far, I've been VERY pleasant but that will soon change.
