Complaint 150697 Details

I ordered the product (Vitamix 1710 Professional Series 500, Brushed Stainless) about 2 weeks ago and received an email on August 13, 2012 that the order was shipped. However, I confirmed that the order was never shipped. I called Amazon customer service several times about this order and I was met with incompetence, apathy, and general bad attitudes. Also, they refused to contact the seller directly and stated that it would require over two weeks to investigate. I find it impossible to believe that it would take this long to contact the seller and find out what happened with the order. Needless to say, it didn't take me long to see where they were going with this and ascertain that they had no intention of addressing this issue because they don't want to sell the product at the advertised price ($499.95). Now today (8/25/2012), the same product is advertised at $589.95. I wanted to submit this review to warn others about my bad experience with shopping at Amazon. I have saved all email correspondence and took screenshots of the fraudulent order information.
