I was approached by a "legitimate" company that I was eligable for a promotional vacation package...basically a vacation with having to sit through a few time share talks. They said I had 15 days from when I recieved the package to cancel, since there was a code in the package that I needed to call in and cancel. I called back 3 days later trying to cancel the package because my dog needed surgery, and they said I had to wait for the package to get the cancel code. I waited the 7-10 business days they told me it would take to get the package and it never showed. So I called back and and asked if there was a manager's code they could employ to cancel it and they said no, they'd send me another one priority mail. It never came.
So I finally got ahold of a manager who seemed to know something about the process and he told me that they had mailed it Monday and I was screwed because my 15 days had passed since I purchased it (not since I received it) and he couldn't get into the computer to change it because it locks after 15 days. So they have taken my money and I haven't seen hide nor hair of my package (even though now they're saying it'll be here by next Saturday) and I'm stuck with a vacation that I really can't afford now.
The manager I talked to today, said that today was the first time he'd heard about this, but I called at least 4 times and talked to 2 managers and the guy who signed me up, including the one I was talking to, who didn't remember me (but how else did I know his name?!) They said I can sell the package, but who would want a transfer holiday?
