On March 8th, 2012 I was rear-ended by an Affirmative Insurance policy holder. My car was totaled because of this wreck. After trying to resolve this issue with Affirmative for a least a month I had to end up hiring an attorney. I was given a rental car 2 weeks after the accient only for Affirmative to call 4 days later to tell me they were no longer furnishing me with a vehicle. I was injured in the accident and because of this I lost my job, no vehicle, and medical expenses, as well as attorney expenses have been totaling up. the person that my attorney was dealing with will not return calls, emails, etc. After 6 months, this issue I thought had finally been settled, Affirtmative agreed to pay for my vehicle. Three weeks later I still have not received a check, and was told last week that a wrecker service was coming to retrieve my car. When I told them I hadn't received the check yet I was then told that Affirmative was going to take my car to an auction then they would cut me a check. I've checked with several insurance companies and this is not the way they handle this type of situation. I would highly recommend anyone who is looking for an insurance company that they bypass this one, I would not recommend Affirmative to my worse enemy!!!!
