Although "www.smarttechcases.com" is listed on CNET as a merchant & has a e-Commerce Yahoo logo on their website there are a lot of people, including myself, who have ordered and paid for products that have never been received.

The site states:
"Note: If you do not have a Diner's Club card or JCB card please select Purchase Order and do not enter your credit card number an email will be sent to you within 24hr with payment instruction."

The payment instructions say you must get a pre-paid MoneyPac card, which adds insult to injury by costing time and another $4.95, plus the full amount of your purchase. Scraping off a silver coating on the back reveals a confirmation number (from MoneyPac) that supposedly they send directly to smarttechcases.com with your payment.

Smarttechcases states: "All packages shipped from Smarttechcases.com require a signature upon delivery. Please arrange for someone to sign for the delivery if you are unable to do so. We recommend that you provide an email address so that we may keep you informed of the status of your order and send you tracking information. You will be able to track your order online or by phone for an estimated time of arrival. UPS will attempt to deliver your package three times before returning it to Smarttechcases.com." But nothing is ever sent.

Calling their phone number just gets a recording that says they are unable to answer your call and asks you to leave your number for a call back (which never happens) or that they are closed. Emailing gets no response either. So it is impossible to contact them.

THIS IS A SCAM! They have your money, which I'm sure no one who ordered from them will ever see again, and you have nothing to show for it except a lighter wallet.

I believe CNET also shares some of the blame here; not to mention a lower trust level as a professional, trustworthy company that vets it's merchants before it lists them on their website for product purchase. I had never heard of smarttechcases.com until I saw it listed on CNET. Because I trusted CNET I decided to purchase a Cannon PowerShot SX260 HS camera through smarttechcases.com. Now, everyone who trusted them, including myself, are out of a lot of money.
