I ordered on the site http://www.goodshoestyle.com/ a pair of Nike-sneakers. The company gives as address 27 Lincoln Avenue, Marblehead, Massachusetts, and the payment was made through paypal. I never received a confirmation email, but the paypal receipt stated a [email protected] address while at paypal, the money went to a Mei Lan Yu in China! Checking out www.statscrop.com/www/goodshoestyle.com, I learnt that the site is owned by a lady in the US, the server is located in the UK, but the site is actually indian, while the order was processed in China. Wow!
I realized that I've been the last one of many hundreds that fell for the beastly showercap/sponge-for-shoes-scam. Fortunately, paypal is alert and they immediately froze the transaction and I got my money back (no showercap from China in the mail yet, though). I'm amazed that there aren't more complaints about this website.
