Unless you scrutinise the terms and conditions of Ziinga.com stay well away. I was horrified when checking my card transactions on line, to find that Ziinga had taken a payment of £178.97, along with two seperate £1.00 and £5.57. As Ziinga is an auction site and you bid 1p at a time for i pads, phones, vouchers etc. I bid for a £100 voucher, which what I didnt realise at the time was to be a £100 credit on my acount, as it didnt say what it was on the site I presumed that it was a high st voucher. I paid £5.97 for this voucher so initally was pleased with my purchase.
I received a receipt via email for the £5.97, on the bottom of the receipt it read.

Please be informed that the 7 days free Platinum membership included with this offer gives you exclusive Bid-for-Free auctions, an additional 10% on all bid package purchases, Daily Bid Agent, FREE shipping on all products, 7 free bid added to your account daily and another 8 free bid on each calendar day you log on to Ziinga.com <http://www.ziinga.com/uk> . The subscription cost is £ 59.99 per month. You can choose to cancel your subscription at any time by contacting our Customer Service by email at [email protected]. Platinum membership is binding for the first 3 months.

From this there is no indication that they will take the three months payment all at once, I thought it would be monthly, not so hence the £178.97. When I said I wanted to cancel my membership and requested a refund, they said they couldnt refund the first month as I had used 9 bids! so not sure where or how the free bids are to be used, when I asked about the two £1.00 withdrawls I was told they were transaction fees, I had only made one purchase! Then there is a £35 cancellation fee.
So my refund will be 2 x 59.99 = £119.98 + £5.97 for the voucher - £35 cancellation fee total £90.95, then they deducted a further £1.00 because they charged me £178.97 instead of £179.97, making the refund £89.95.
Very easy money for Ziinga, so be warned, there favorite answer to everything is,
IT IS IN THE TERMS & CONDITIONS
