Telemarketer referred to my debit card by last four digits. I had no idea that they already had the full number. The representative said that I was to receive a "reward" for responsible use of my card. I repeatedly said that I didn't want to purchase anything. I should have hung up. They kept taking me back to the starting point. Finally wore me down. I could hardly understand what they were saying, and they kept repeating it. Mainly they wanted to verify that I was the owner of the debit card. They said I didn't have to buy any magazines. On 9/4/11 the charges showed up on my bank statement. They said it was one thing, it turned out to be another. Classic bait and switch. Arghh!
