In july of this year, we did an inquiry for a payday loan with Western Sky, who upon our decision not to accept the offer sold our information to 3rd parties. The bank saw a forced transaction for 2 $300 dollar loans. Even though we never signed anything or agreed to the terms. Once we saw that the money was there and the accounts were closed. They processed 2 payments for $97.00 each, plus overdraft charges totalling $105.00. Then they took $50.00 out of another account. And never another penny. Now they are threatening us with phone calls about summons and arrest for fraudulent checks. Neither bank has anything negative on either of us. So with all these threats we called the attorney generals office, who advised that they are empty threats and that payday loans are illegal in NC. And to tell them to steis and disists. Sorry my spelling is off. By the way the attorney generals office is looking for them to presue them for illegal activity in the state.
