I received a phone call telling me I was entitled to a free $100 gas card and $50 waka card and a $10 walmart card because I had already filled out a online survey a couple of days ago. I done everything I was told to do and was told they would send me my gift cards. I was not told I had to download a voucher then mail it in to get the cards. The person who called me, misrepresented how it would work even after me asking them to explain it in more detail. So I called to cancel and was told they would still take the $2.99 from my card anyway. I was told I had 7 days to cancel and I canceled in the same day as the order. I was not told that the $2.99 was not refundable. I called my credit card company and was told that waka would not collected it till 1-22-13.Then I can dispute the charge to my card If I am alredy entitled to the gift cards, then they should just mail them to my address. I should not have to download a voucher then mail it in to get what I am entitled to for the survey I have already filled out. I fiilled out the survey either on DisneyMovieClub.com They are the only online companie I do business with online. The survey I filled out was for a $1000 walmart card and I only had to complete one of the offers and I did so by signing up with DisneyMovieClub.com We shall see if I ever get the $1000 card from them

  • I called my credit card company today and blocked the charges to my card from the Waka Network. The $2.99 was returned to my account but I had to close that card and have a new one sent to me but the Waka jerks did not get my money. I hope this ends my issue with the Waka network.

  • OH by the way, they call from a local number but there was also a foreign country transaction fee that was returned to my account as well.

  • After a couple of months trying to make contact thru various channels, and not getting anywhere, I too finally went to my credit card company and cancelled my card with them and had them reissued a card with a new number. The credit card company did have a contacct number with Waka and put me on line in a three way conversation with the Waka rep. and the credit card rep. I explained my attempts to reach Waka and resolve my issues - not being able contact them in the allotted time to cancell my membership with them. It seems the credit card companies have a lot more "cloudt", as they were promised by Waka that would provide a refund to the credit card company. Although I haven't received a verification of credit being provided to my account (it's been two weeks now) I conider this to be a $102 lesson that will not be repeated by me. I had also filed a complaint with the FTC and that may have had some bearing on Waka wanting to resolve the issue. Hope others are more leary about Waka than I was!
