I help my mom with her finances and balancing her checkbook. I noticed that monthly from september 2012 to January 2013 deductions in the amount of $35.00 each came from UNITED/DRS INS PREM PPD. It didn't look unsual at first because it was deducted the same date as her normal United of Omaha payment. I asked her if she purchased any additional insurance and she said no. I called United of Omaha at (800) 228-7104 and at (800) 775-6000 to address the charges but they were closed at the time. I then called her bank which is Chase and they were able to refund about 3 months worth of payments and they said they would open a claims investigation. They said that unfortunately they are not able to block payments, so their solution was to cancel the account and open a new one if United of Omaha continued to charge the account. I will call United of Omaha again tomorrow in hopes to get the remainder of those charges refunded.
