They phoned me back after an online application and told me my loan had been approved, but the fees id have to pay, they only told me in stages ("oh you need to pay this tax", "oh now you have to pay this..."), they told me I had to do it through UKASH vouchers, so I figured you have to be pretty stupid to scam someone through a paypoint.
Normally I am much smarter to these, but we lost my dad, and our house on the same day, so we were desperate.
Conveniently for them the last UKASH voucher - according to them, was "invalid", so upon phoning UKASH I found out just how bad this company is. Giving me English names - despite them being clearly from India, or one of the surrounding countries - didn't click, as quite a few companies that have foreign employees give them English names so that people can pronounce them (companies like Orange have started doing it). After getting hysterical and telling them that the voucher was valid - I had after all got the vouchers from the same place - they asked me to wait for a call back as they were going to try again. It was after I had spoken to UKASH - confirming that the voucher had been redeemed already, that they called me back again claiming the voucher was invalid. I informed them that I had spoken to UKASH and they cancelled the call.
