DailySteals was offering bundles of HP564 Ink (CMYK) for $9.99 + 4.99 shipping (effectively $15). The inks were listed as brand new and compatible with HP machines taking the HP564 inks. I ordered 5 bundles ($99.90) and now that I'm starting to replace my inks, I'm finding these inks say SET UP, and after calling HP, find out that they are aware of the scam, these are NOT refills, and are being sold as NEW INK in every way. I have already sent a complaint to DailySteals.com, complete with screenshots of my two transactions (2 bundles, three bundles, same day). HP Customer Service said they would get back to me, and it remains to be seen what Daily Steals will have to say. My mom said it perfectly: you get what you pay for. But these inks won't even run as a complete bundle (loading all at once) and are rejected by all the machines I have which accept HP564 as INCOMPATIBLE. Yeah, I really got screwed.

  • I sent emails repeatedly to DailySteals, with screen shots of the transactions, and finally they got back to me. I also contacted HP who said it was not their problem (to which I agreed) and to pursue the matter with DailySteals.com. After many emails, I received an email FROM someone at DailySteals.com and they said they'd take back the cartridges for a full refund. I had to wait for an RMA number (one for each of the two transactions) and then had to wait for pre-paid postage (which screwed me because they only fessed up for 7 ozs for 8 cartridges, and 7 ozs for 12 cartidges, and then I had to buy a certain type of mailer (2) to send them in separately. I send all this off yesterday, spending just shy of $10. I asked for a refund as some were used (buy never worked) and some were still wrapped. I'm interested in seeing if I get my full refund of $99.90. And I will NEVER buy ink online unless it's straight from the manufacturer or a reputable seller (Amazon etc). Best deal on ink is XL size at Costco. I'll post if and when I get my refund, and it had better be the full refund.

  • I considered myself ill-treated by Daily Steals when they advertised a cellphone as NEW but delivered a Refurb'ed one. The problem has nothing to do with the ink manufacturer. Daily Steals misdescribed the product, right? And then didn't exactly spring into action to make you whole?
