I RECEIVED A W2 FROM BROWN ETC. I NEVER RECEIVED THIS MONEY AND i AM EXPECTED TO PAY TAXES ON IT. WHY DID I GET THIS W-2 FOR 2012?

I DID WORK FOR WALMART FOR OVER TEN YEARS AND I DID NOT PURSUE ANY CLASS ACTION SUIT (THE LETTER SAID I DIDN'T HAVE TO). I DIDN'T RECEIVE ANY MONEY SO WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY TAXES. GIVE ME THE 13.91 OR ISSUE A CORRECTION TO THE IRS.

  • Seeking Resolution: Other
  • I WANT THE W2 CANCELLED OR REFUND FOR THE NET AMOUNT OF 13.91.

  • I got the same thing and I also worked for Wal-Mart in the past.

However, I'm not sure if I recall receiving the check.
I'm going to call my bank on Monday and see if they can dig up a deposit or check cashing record during the course of the year.
As, I could have easily forgotten a measly $14.74 throughout an entire year.

If you didn't receive the check, you might want to consider what personal information may have changed since you worked for Wal-Mart that may have caused the check to possibly get lost.
