Renting an apt (207) with internet included(actually part of the rent for $29.95), but unable to get internet service. Most of the tenants are SIUC students. I get service scarcely, but have to go to the library most of the time to complete assignments. Grades are slipping. Talked to Mediacom, the provider and they stated that the wiring is bad, and the unit bandwidth. The multi-complex unit needs upgrading and management is refusing, stating that I need to get my own service. I signed the lease, but my mom did not. Is she responsible for payment if i moved out even though they state that we jointly are leasing the unit? This unit is to be leased by two guys, no room for my mom to stay here.

  • Allow me to break the lease and move where I can get the service that I'm paying for and return the security deposit of $500 and $60 parking fee or fix the internet issues so that I can do my homework in the comfort of my home instead of going elsewhere.
