"Thank you for responding to our post for open audition. We are SAG AFTRA registered project for non-paying environment."

This is the response I got from responding to a Las Vegas Craigslist ad, just a few days before the audition date. The original post stated "IMBD SAG credit." I called the number less than 24 hours before the audition to confirm. I am SAG AFTRA. I did NOT know that this project was non-union until I showed up at the audition. The Chairman/Founder Dinh Chau-Kieckhafer claimed there was a "miscommunication." I asked when it was found out that they were non-union, why I was not sent a corrective email. At least they could have put an ad on Craigslist Las Vegas to warn actors that there was a change in status. Don't forget, in the phone call late afternoon, before the audition, no one stated that the project was now non-union.

It was extremely difficult and expensive for me to show up at the correct time and location. I deserve compensation.
