Yesterday, I needed instructions on how to download software that would enablle me to scan and send a document via email. Because I had been reassured that this HP service would cost me nothing, Chaad first gained access to my computor through teamveiwer and began showing me errors that he said should be removed before moving forward with my scanning information request.

After a while later, he then asked me for my credit card number. I questioned the reason for this information and he said that I had to pay $199.00 for what he'd done. I immediately refused but not before letting him know my intention to report him to HP Corp. I'm now wondering wether a scam is being run out of your IT department because a similar situation occured when my neice who after speaking with your IT depart, she was told that she owed around $50.00 for what she told was also a free service.

Now, I can't access the internet and I'm wondering if through my laptop, Chaad has enabled my ability to do so. Before reporting this problem to the local media where my brother-in-law currently anchors the news, I am asking you to resolve my internet access issue and to address the request made for payment when the custemer is reassured that no charges will be assessed.

I am not very computer savvy but I'm unhappy that my experiences with HP services leaves quite a bit to be desired. Because I can't access my email from my laptop which has been affected, my phone number is (Personal Information Removed). Please confirm to me that this complaint has reached the correct department/division.
