I was gaming on my computer(in February,2013).I went to a gaming site, and was told to download the game. My computer was taken over, and I couldn't get my "regular" stuff back, no matter what I did. If I remember correctly, the telephone number of this company was right on the screen of my computer. I called the number, and was told (immediately) that I had downloaded a "Trojan Horse", and it would cost $200 to fix it.(Which I payed via my credit card. They did get my computer ALMOST back to the way it was. I called the BBB, and was told this company has had complaints against them, before, but there was nothing to do because they had performed a service for which they were entitled payment.
It seems to me, it would be easy to put a virus in a site, and then charge people to "fix" it.
