We got a phone call saying we have a free night stay at the Georgian Manor Resort in Collingwood and the only thing we would have to do to receive this promotion is to attend a "presentation". Nothing was told about what this presentation was going to be. Stupidly enough, we decide to go. It turns out that this was a presentation about purchasing a timeshare, or a vacation. The agent tells us this is a chance of a lifetime. That we will never get this opportunity again, that this will make our lives better, that we only have this one chance to make this decision. That we would lose out on a great opportunity if we don't purchase this. Well, we end up purchasing it (biggest mistake). We do, however, feel that we were completely misled. We were manipulated into believing what they were saying. We were also NEVER told about out right to cancel within 10 days. And by the way, when I looked over the agreement after the cancellation period was over (which I found out about much later), I found no mention of this cancellation period in the signed pages. At least not in any copy we were given. I feel like we have been taken advantage of and not given a fair chance to think about making such a large purchase. We had only a couple of hours at most. Most people would be thinking for much longer than a couple of hours before making such a large purchase. I suggest that no one ever goes to these people. They are so rude after you sign the agreement. When I call them asking them questions about what they did, they avoid answering the question. I know they know they are scamming people. They cannot get away with this. I hope everyone knows about these timeshare companies who rip people off. We were also told we could easily sell it, we have tried and FAILED.
