Following a further review of your application and interest in taking up the Assistant Position, it is our joy as a team to confirm to you that you are a part of us.
Also, It is my pleasure as the Owner and General Manager of the company, to inform you that I look forward to working with you.
We had tried to reach you for an interview but to no avail, so we thought not to waste any more time so that another company out there doesn’t employ you before we do (in which case will be our loss).
I will be arriving with my family on the 12th of April. We will meet then, preferably at the airport depending on how convenient that is for you (or at a place convenient for you in the downtown area), so that we can learn more about each other on a more personal level and also brief you about your duties and hand you your employment package.
However, before then, I would like to state that YOUR JOB STARTS IMMEDIATELY.
Which means you will work from home up till the 12th of April and before the office is fully furnished and functioning.
While I am there, I will require your advise with regards to my desire to acquiring a home while considering factors that would ensure accessibility to major roads and a school for my children.
Payment would be sent to you in form of a Cashier’s Check for things like; my hotel reservation, car rental and other necessary office works (which shall be communicated to you, with time).
Before the 12th of April, you will be paid $950/weekly. That amount and payment option can be reviewed, it is only to be considered as a starter.
My travel and other plans will be sent to you via email.
I would like to believe that we have your full address for mailing, please re-confirm by sending your full mailing address in response to this message to; [email protected].
Regards

Ok – So here’s a new update.
Today I came home to find in my mail a USPS Priority Mail envelope from Tom Lum 6437 Noble Dr., McLean, VA 22101-5262. Enclosed was a check in the amount of $5,740 Pay To The Order of Me (Name withheld), no explanation letter or anything. In the remitter: Bruce Kayser. I am planning on contacting the bank (Stock Yards Bank & Trust) tomorrow.
