On March 28th I found a 2008 white Honda Accord EX-L for 1950 on Craigslist. It seemed like a good deal so I emailed the seller. He replied on the 29th and we emailed back and forth for a few days. He said to use Ebay Buyer Protection program. Which I thought nothing of at the time. I had gotten emails from Ebay explaining everything on the 29th. I thought it was the real deal due to that. The Seller and I maintained contact about the car indicated in the posting. I on the 31st I made a wire transfer with Western Union to an agent by the name of Derek Canty in Texas. He was to be the one to receive the money and hold it until I got the car and accepted the vehicle. I sent $1950 (cash) with a sending fee of $161 (totaling $2,111 MTCN 366-760-5355) on the 31st at 11:15 to the western union agent Derek Canty, and faxed the transaction to ebay like the email told me to do. I received and email telling me the transaction was received and I emailed the seller to let him know that the transaction was taking place. On April 1st I was emailed by the seller telling me he had shipping arrangements ready, on April 2nd I got an email from ebay saying that I needed to send an additional $1500 as an insurance for the car as it was shipped to me. On april 3rd I went to western union and sent $1500 with a $126 fee, I paid with my debit card (MTCN 828-226-6184). After I faxed the receipt to ebay again, as I was instructed, I notified the seller. The last email I received from him was on April 3rd. I have tried to contact him many times through email, But I get no response. He claims to be in the military, Sergeant Frank Lupio and stationed at Lackland AFB in Texas.
