Got a reply from a posting for my camper for sale that was post on craigslist. Stated that she was fine with the price and that she wanted to surprise her son with the camper as a gift and she has shippers that could pick it up. All she needed was the paypal e-mail address that I set-up my paypal account with. I inquired about the 2.9% fee I would have to pay, she said that would cover the fee. I provided my e-mail address (she already had it as we had been e-mailing eachother). Then she sends another e-mail about needed my help that he shipper now needs payment via Western Union (new policy) unfront and that she could pay with a credit card, however, she didn't bring her cc with her as she didn't think she'd need it "at sea." She went on to say that she knew that she could trust me to help her out and that she would add an additional $1,100 to the payment - the 1K for the shippers and the $100 for the Western Union fee and for my running around. I replied back and told her that would be fine as long as the extra payment was there. She hasn't responded....the whole time, red flags went off. But since this was via paypal (I had also called them first to ensure that there was noway she could hack my account before I gave her my e-mail address) I thought it would be ok. Plus, this camper has been up forsale for a while....NEVER again!!!!!
