Complaint 233317 Details

I received a Letter from a M. Weinstein Attorney from Publishers International yesterday saying,
"Dear Maria Cabral,
Last year you renewed one of your magazins on 1/23/2012, using your credit or debit care number xxxxx. Your bank has disputed this charge on your behalf. You must make a check payable to Publishers International in the amount of 1x299.95.
If your check is not received within 10 days of the date of this letter (4/19/2013) we will be forced to serve you a summons and reclaim the funds in U.S. Court. Please pay this to avoid any attorney fees, $1,500.00 minimum."
I double checked with my statement from Jan 2012 and confirmed with my Bank that the payment was made plus confirmed that there were no disputes made by me.
I called the number listed on the letter (877) 566-6421 and left a voice message for M. Weinstein to let him know and asked him to check his records. However I find this disturbing since ever since I was a sucker and agreed to acquire magazines through them they have been harassing me asking me to renew. At the time I agreed to pay this renew I told the person on the phone that that would be the last renew and I didn't want to hear back from them ever again. I no longer receive magazines and feel this may be a tacking to make me pay.
I want this to stop and don't know who to turn to
