I bought an H2O sim card at Best Buy in Chicago last April '12. I live in Canada and use H2O service when I'm in the U.S. The last time I used the sim was in Nov '12. Before I left Canada for my holiday in S.C. I checked my account on the web and saw that the card was still active until the 12th May. I expected to be back in Canada before then so all was ok. I tried to use it on the 25th April and got no service. The msg said "Unable to connect to network, try again later." So I kept trying. Finally on 26th I went to Best Buy in Morgantown. They replaced the sim card and spent time with H2O tech dept getting the new sim card to use the original number. The phone worked and I then put on $60 to get data etc.. At that time I received 2 phone calls which were both wrong numbers. After a few hours on the road I noticed that the phone had no signal. I got the same msg as before. The next day I went to Best Buy in Greensboro and they replaced the sim card and together with H2O's tech dept got me up and running again. Once again I got 2 phone calls that weren't for me. Then a few hours later while on the road I again noticed that there was no signal. It occurred to me that perhaps H2O had reassigned my number so I called the number using my voip acct. And guess what? H2O had reassigned my number and the other user was losing service and then calling H2O to complain and that's why I was losing service.
Now I have spent hours of my holiday tying to fix a problem that I didn't create. I am out $70. I have copies of my many conversations with "live chat" showing you that they were unable to help me. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.
