I placed an ad on Gumtree for several items of furniture, one in particular was $2000 and I got a text from some number and in the text it had ssx in it before the message started saying is this available and please email me. I emailed and said it was still available and he sent back that he was working abroad on a rig and his phone was down below due to bad weather and he was buying this for his son and can I give him my PayPal details so he can pay and get a private courier to pick it up and that he was satisfied with my ad and was sorry he couldn't ring me blah blah blah I was suspicious and came on here and pretty much I found another complaint that was word for word the same email he sent me.
