Complaint 240179 Details

I purchased a vehicle (an RV) from this company. They assured me both verbally and in writing that there was absolutely nothing wrong with the vehicle mechanically. And specifically stated that they were certain it would make it from California to Washington and back (for a trip we were taking) with no problem. They also assured me it had a working generator and "just might need some gas" I filled the gas. The RV made it 70 miles at which point the vehicle lost control of the steering and the breaks. We almost went off an embankment trying to pull over on the freeway. The engine was dead and could not be restarted. When I called the company they said that the man who sold me the RV didn't represent them. Then they said it was a consignment. Then they said he does work for them, but he is the only one who can resolve this. Their website states that they service the vehicles before sale, but when I made my complaint they said they hadn't serviced it. All I asked them to do is service the vehicle and get it to the condition they represented it as being in. They have now become rude and are ignoring me. I have recorded all conversations with them since the vehicle broke.
