I applied for an escort job on www.elegant-companions.com on the 4th of April roughly. A woman named Victoria rang me a while later and spent the first few minutes of the phonecall explaining to me the finer points of the job such as how much the pay is, what the clients are like and why they pay for the service. She clearly stated that the job was strictly non-sexual, and as that was why I applied, it put me at ease and I became excited by the prospect of working for them. I asked if I could go on a date first to see if I liked it and then pay the registration fee and she said yes that was fine (that later changed). She was in contact a lot and as I was working too, anytime I missed a call she would leave me a voicemail. First the calls were about setting up the online account (ensuring my email address was mine), showing them a picture of my face, seeing if I was free that sunday for a date and then to make sure that the fee was in by that time so that I would be legally on their books etc (which is odd as they clearly state on their website that they don't get involved in actually getting the clients). I was unsure about them anyway, so I spent the weekend trying to find ANY complaint about them online and only found two about having to pay the fee but nothing else. So with that and also deciding that taking the chance and knowing is better than not knowing at all, I paid the £279 into their RBS account which I can bring up on my bank account for proof. The same day Victoria rang me and told me to take down details of a meeting on The Friday, and gave me all the particulars. I knew it was a scam when Same day friday she rang to tell me that the clients friend had a heart attack, and it was obvious then that she was lying. After that she told me that more would be arranged and she would contact me the next day but she had blocked my number by then. Further attempts at contact have been useless but I am hoping that I can warn others so that they are not ripped off too! I have no idea if I can ever get my money back but it was my gamble and I have to live with that! I still can't understand how no one has complained about them before now?! They have had their company name for nearly a year now!! Anyway, on to the finer details....
