Brand new Amana stainless steel kitchen appliances were purchased for a newly constructed home. After 14 months, composite pieces on the appliances are cracking, crumbling, and literally falling off of the appliances. According to Amana, they will be happy to cover them for almost a hundred dollars (per piece) as the warranty expires after one year on any part. I sent in pictures and showed them the cracking and obviously defective composite material, and was told that there was nothing that I can do unless I want to start reinvesting in buying (SCAMMING RIP OFF) parts. I sent an email earlier in September and never got a reply....they told me they sent a response to the wrong email address. So much for effective communication. How can we spend thousands of dollars, and pay for higher upgrades for brushed stainless steel to have it literally falling apart in our brand new kitchen and house? How is it that there is zero customer service? How is that I was told that they put my complaint in a file and that this ends the transaction because I refuse to invest more money in another part that is likely to need replacing in a year. How is this legal? I asked where I could file a complaint beyond the Amana Customer Service Phone Number and was told, "You have reached the maximum escalation of this complaint. You have no other options." Is this true?
