  • I found a charge (CDN $52.82) from Total Defense on my credit card. I did some research and could find no record that I had ordered any software from them. Found Scam Book and read the various posts. I then called my credit card issuer to find a resolution. Yes, I had purchased the software and had forgotten about it. The card issuer then called Total Defense and passed me to them. The account was cancelled in a matter of minutes. I received a confirmation number to indicated that the account was cancelled and the charge would be reversed in a few days (businesses are generally closed on weekends). My next statement should show that the charge has been reversed. I fail to understand why the complainants are having difficulty resolving this issue.
