I received a call from a man who identified himself as Mr. Thomas James @ 876-279-5743. He said he was from Readers Digest Claims (I called the number later and found it to be Mega Millions Sweepstakes). He was happy to inform me I had won $2.5M, he was almost at my house to deliver the check, and did I still have have the credit card ending in xxxx? All I had to do was pay a $500+ tax. After listening to his BS and not giving this cold caller any credit card information, he wanted me to run up to CVS or Walgreens and get a "green dot moneypak scratch card", which I've never heard of, to pay the tax, which he needed to confirm funding before he gave me my check... ARE THESE FOLKS NUTS??. It's very sad that some people fall for this scam, and that there isn't someone who can tack the people who do this down.
