We sat through a presentation with Mike Vonnordheil with Sunset Harbor. The deal was a week with Sunset Harbor at 24,500 poitns, 60,000 bonus points and a contract with Point Rental Liquidations (PRL). the deal would be that PRL would take the points when placed in RCI and rent them out. We were guaranteed $.08 a point. They would alos be able to take any of our Wyndham points that were placed into RCI points progam and rent those also - at $.08 per point. We werre told we would get our contract in 90 days and could deposit our points at that time. We were finally notified of our contract in August of 2012. I called PRL and told them to take the 24,500 + 60,000 points and put them into the rental program. They said they would. We receive a letter from Sunset Harbor Resort in December saying that they had terminated their agreement with PRL and that Sunset Harbor Vacation Network (SHVN) was set up in its place. We logged onto the website and did not find our points there. We called Sunset Harbor and were told that they had been placed in RCI - only the 24,500. We lost the 60,000 bonus points. Asked about PRL, the response was they did things in the presentations that were not authorized and they had gone out of business. In 2013 we received our renewal for SH and I called about using the points in the network. I was told I needed to pay by maintenance and the points would be placed into the network and I would have access to them. That never happened. After talking with Holly at SH I was notified that I could not have an RCI point program and the SHVN program. If I wanted the SHVN program I needed to pay an additional $189. If not I needed to pay the $141 RCI renewal. I am paying neither. I have decided to take them to small claims court in Florida where the contract was signed and see if I can't get some of my money back. I can't go back to Bank of America as I moved the charges to a different CC to reduce interest rate.
