I purchased a phone upgrade via Verizon Wireless on the Internet through my account which offered a $50 rebate. I received the phone, read complete instructions for the rebate, submitted the original UPC code on the box in which the phone was in, and submitted the original Customer Receipt that was in the package and mailed it the day after purchase. I receive an invalid rebate card in the mail stating invalid due to store location, phone ID, purchase date, all of which is on the Customer Receipt. I emailed the rebate center and received back a reply that in my case the print was too light on the receipt. Being totally out of my control that Verizon Wireless sent me a "light" print copy, I then made my copy as dark as I could, all information easily readable, put in PDF file and sent via email to the rebate center. I was told it would be sent to the "escalation" department. I then called the 1-800 number and after finally being able to speak with a "customer" representative, I then asked to speak with a supervisor. He told me the rebate is all computer generated but that my rebate was being reviewed manually and I would expect a rebate in two weeks. Three days later I get another invalid rebate card in the mail. I would highly recommend anyone to not purchase a phone via Verizon Wireless that offers a rebate, as the company will not give it to you.
