I was on Flight Number LH 432 from Frankfurt to Chicago on 7 June 2013. I had two bags in the check-in luggage. One of my bags had my new Canon EOS Rebel T5i 18-55mm IS STM Kit camera costing around $900.00. When I claimed my baggage in the Chicago Airport, my camera and a very old book (a gift from my cousin on my birthday 15 years ago) were missing from my bag. I found this as soon as I had passed through the immigration. So I immediately informed the Lufthansa officials at the help desk. They said they had not found anything like thta and they would not give me a reference number for my lost items as it was not the checked-in bag but the things within the bag. However, they gave me a contact number for Lufthansa Lost and Found for the Chicago airport and asked me to contact them. The number is 773-686-5802. It has been a month since and no one is accepting responsibility for my loss. The camera can still be replaced but the book was priceless. My bag was locked so this is completely unacceptable. I have been a loyal customer of Lufthansa throughout but I'm very disappointed and at a loss how I should get them to be accountable.
