They either spoofed or hacked my daughter's email and I received a message about this product. I assumed that since my "daughter" was sending it to me she had already checked on this product. I placed an order, but a few hours later went back to read "her" email and noticed something odd. So I got online and searched, then discovered there were numerous complaints.
I emailed the company immediately and cancelled the order. Received a reply saying "not a problem". About ten minutes later I received an email stating they had processed my order. Tried calling them (after talking with my CC company), had to leave voice mail. No reply. Got on their web page and "chatted" via live talk, telling them I wouldn't accept delivery. Also sent an email stating as such. I refused delivery on the package (it has a tracking number), and emailed them again. It's been back and forth. First I'm told I have to pay the re-stocking fees, next I'm told I have to pay the shipping costs (even though I had cancelled the order). The most recent email said it's for merchant fees:
>>As it’s our company policy we will be refunding you your full amount less 9% Merchants fee. Do note that all shipping costs incurred as such are not refundable. We do apologize for any inconvenience caused.
The refund would be $181.05 = ( 209.94 x 0.91 ) – 9.99.
The 9% charge goes to the card company and not to us. <<
It sounds like there are two different companies involved in this scam.
I'm tempted to accept their offer of the refund, but this is a matter of principle.
I'd like to file a class-action lawsuit against Raspberry Ultra Drops - but where do I begin?
