I had some heavy equipment on Kijiji site and a girl named Sonja Klassen called me to say she is a lending institution with customers interested in my equipment. The deal was if i sold it myself or if she didnt sell it within a 3 month period she would refund my 299+gst. I asked her (after i passed her my credit card #)to hold off on this process til i talked to my boyfriend) She did not hold off she processed the payment.Within three weeks i sold my equipment, she assured me that everything was good and i should expect a refund, but no credit was amde.Her message on her phone doesnt state her name or business. And the "800" # only is a recording and nobody will return your call. The website looks legit with real ads

- I just went thru the exact same thing. Sonja called me off kijiji ad I had. I signed up and never did receive any service from them. I just posted my complaint on here (Complaint #125700). I reported them to the Better Business Bureau. I found out there are 5 other open files with the same complaint as yours and mine. Did you ever get reimbursed?

- Unfortunately not. We just picked ourselves up out of it and moved on. I am thankful it was not more money involved but enough that I couldnt afford to just give away. All we can do is learn from it and be extra careful in futur because there are so many scammers out there.
