Rec'd incoming phone call offering to build a website with 40 name brand stores in it for $499.00. It came with a 90-day money-back guarantee. After some discussion with my spouse over a two-day period, we decided to give it a shot...after all, we could get our money back, right? A few days later, the marketing arm of the company called and I purchased six months' of marketing services for $1000. I rec'd no information about my new website until I asked. Then, when I went to the back office to see how the marketing was going, it said 72 visitors had been to my website. A few days later, it still said 72 visitors. Then, I knew. I tried calling the customer service phone number and had to leave a voice mail. I called three days in a row. No call back. I tried again about a week later and the number had been disconnected. When I called the marketing company, I discovered that the person I thought was the VP of Marketing Services of the marketing company (EBN), actually worked for PIPwebdesign.com.
I have filled a complaint with the Arizona Attorney General's office today.
